The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard AJ Green to a four-year, $45 million fully guaranteed extension, according to ESPN.

This deal rewards the 26-year-old for his steady rise since joining the Bucks as an undrafted free agent in 2022.

Last season, Green averaged 7.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 73 games while shooting 42.7% from three, all career highs.

He emerged as a consistent perimeter threat and played a major role in the Bucks’ first-round series against Indiana, where he averaged 11.0 points and hit 51.4% of his threes, including a playoff-best 19 points in Game 5.

Bucks general manager Jon Horst called Green’s extension a top offseason priority.

“The day he became officially eligible. He was the first call I made,” Horst told The Athletic. “I just told him how much we love him, believe in him, and want him here long term.”

At $11.25 million per year, Green’s contract represents under seven percent of the projected 2026–27 salary cap, offering the Bucks valuable flexibility.

Green continues to show promise in preseason, averaging 11.3 points on 46% from deep in four games. His extension shows Milwaukee’s confidence in his shooting and development as a reliable rotation piece.
