Jaden Ivey underwent an arthroscopic procedure earlier today to treat discomfort in his right knee. The Detroit Pistons confirmed the issue is unrelated to the fibula injury he sustained last season. Ivey will start rehab immediately and is expected to be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Head coach JB Bickerstaff described it as “discomfort” after Ivey played just under 14 minutes in the Pistons’ 128-112 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Ivey is nine months removed from the broken left fibula he sustained last season.
Prior to the injury, Ivey was having a breakout season, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and four assists on 46% shooting from the field and 40.9% from three.
