The Dallas Mavericks have signed head coach Jason Kidd to a multiyear contract extension, according to Marc Stein.
In his four seasons with Dallas, Kidd holds a 179-149 record and led the franchise back to the Finals in 2023-24, their first appearance since 2011.
Kidd has drawn interest from multiple teams in recent years, including the New York Knicks, who sought to interview him after firing Tom Thibodeau this offseason — a request the Mavericks rejected.
Kidd previously served as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. He later spent two seasons as an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning a championship in 2020.
