Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro will undergo surgery on his left foot Friday and is expected to miss the start of the 2025-26 season, according to the team.

After battling a left foot impingement throughout last season, Herro suffered an ankle injury during an offseason workout that ultimately led to surgery.

The Heat will begin the 2025-26 campaign minus their leading scorer. Herro is fresh off a career year, with averages of 23.9 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.2 rebounds in 2024-25.

Herro made his All-Star debut last season and has now averaged 20 points and five rebounds for four straight seasons.
