The Phoenix Suns announced on Thursday that they have exercised Ryan Dunn’s third-year option for the 2026-27 season.

Phoenix had until Oct. 31 to exercise Dunn’s third-year option. He’s currently in the second year of a four-year, $12.9 million contract.

Dunn is set to earn $2.7 million next season. The Suns also hold a $5 million club option for his fourth year, which expires on Oct. 31, 2026.

Dunn, the 2024-25 Dan Majerle Hustle Award winner, averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 43% from the field over 74 games.

He made 44 starts last season.

Selected 28th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, Dunn became the third Suns rookie to record at least 80 made threes (82) and a combined 80-plus steals (44) and blocks (40).

Leandro Barbosa and Mikal Bridges are the only other players in Suns history to do so.

In his 2003-04 rookie season, Barbosa made 83 threes and recorded 93 steals along with seven blocks. Bridges followed in 2018-19 with 105 threes, 129 steals, and 38 blocks.

Dunn was a participant in the Rising Stars Challenge during last season’s All-Star weekend.
